Andrew Carnegie awarded the city of Sidney $6,500 for the construction of this library which served Sidney from 1914 to 1965. The building now serves as the Chamber of Commerce.

The UP depot was moved back to Potter in 1991. After much restoration, it was opened to the public in 1996. It houses UP Railroad memorabilia as well as an agricultural room and other items. It is open by appointment only as well as special events in Potter.
